Kelly McAllister | Playwright/Director
Author of Last Call, which won the award for excellence in playwriting from the Fringe last
summer, and is available in the anthology Plays and Playwrights 2003, published by The New York
Theatre Experience
(www.newyorktheatreexperience.org). He also wrote the libretto for a musical
version of The Snow Queen for Children's Theatre Workshop in California, and has had a chapter
from his first novel, The Aviary, published in (t)here magazine. Mr. McAllister also writes
theatre reviews for nytheatre.com.
Aside from writing, he is also an actor. Favorite roles include the title character in last
year's Edward III, Cassius in Julius Caesar at Shakespeare in the Park(ing) Lot, and Adam/Aron
in East of Eden at The Western Stage. In April this year, he was named Graduate of the Last
Decade for the School of Humanities at San Jose State University.
